My first week(almost) as Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen 2007.

I've only had my title for about 5 days, and already the opportunities are piling up for this year.

This is just the start. I have multiple other events pending, along with my weekly community service at Hough Elementary School in the Special Care Center for autistic children. My family and I are working on a few events right now to help raise money for the trip to Orlando this coming August. Keep a look out for a Jazz for Genay event, and even possibly a Krispy Kreme event (numm!)

I'm still getting used to this role as Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen, it didn't really hit me until I was writing my thank you cards to all of my sponsers and supporters. I had to keep starting new ones, because I would accidentally write Greater Vancouver on them!!! Other than learning my title, I'm just really looking forward to all the opportunities for community service and networking presented to myself and the program.

I think that I'm going to have an absolute blast with the board here at state. I am really excited to add them to my pageant support group! Allie and Sally couldn't possibly be more supportive and informative for me and my family. The Range family has also been truly amazing. They've offered great tips and tricks for the national pageant, along with supportive words under stressful moments. I am just so thankful for everything that has been brought to me through my surrounding support. I am truly honored to be working with such great people throughout the state. Until next time,

Love,

Genay
